Nothing here is for sale

There is no shop, subscription or paywall, so there is nothing to refund and no refund policy. If that changes, terms of sale will be published before anything can be bought.

What you may do with Elmdin's work

Elmdin's work is not uniformly open source, and being visible here does not make it free to use. Every project sets its own terms, and they differ: some are openly licensed, some are source-available under conditions, some are private, and some carry obligations of their own — a licence inherited from a dependency, a restriction attached to a dataset, a term agreed with a collaborator.

The licence file in a project's own repository is the only thing that grants you rights. Not this page, not the projects listing, not the fact that a repository is public. Where a repository carries no licence,all rights are reserved and you have no permission to copy, modify, redistribute or build commercially on it. If you want to use something and the terms are unclear, ask first.

The writing, design, branding, the name and the mark on this site are the operator's own and remain their property. Quote them, link them and write about them freely; republishing them wholesale, or presenting any of Elmdin's work as your own, is not permitted.

No warranty

This site and everything Elmdin publishes are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Research notes, project descriptions and code are work in progress and may be incomplete or wrong.

Nothing here is professional advice — not legal, financial, medical or engineering advice. Do not rely on it as such.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or of anything published here — including lost data, lost profits or business interruption. Some liability cannot be excluded by law, and nothing here tries to exclude it.

Contributions

An issue or pull request is contributed under that project's own licence. Sending us an idea by email creates no obligation or partnership between us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
